Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Birmingham
Estimated total package: £31,900 - £33,900 (based on 2 sleep-ins per month)
Bonus Scheme: Up to £3000 per annum in performance-based bonuses
Enhanced Overtime: +£2.20 per hour!
Hours: Full time, up to 40 hours per week (+ sleeps required)
Shift pattern: 7:30-21:30, 1 on 2 off (flexibility required)

Led by a therapeutic PACE approach, our organisation is committed to providing the best possible opportunities for the children across our two Ofsted regulated children’s homes.
The Registered Manager is incredibly experienced and has a great track record for outcomes for children, having been described by Ofsted as ‘diligent’ and ‘passionate’. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and grow as a practitioner within this exceptional home.
Our Package and Benefits:
✨ Basic pay: £13.30 - £14.30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus £50 per sleep-in
✨ Estimated package: Earn up to £32,900 per annum,based on 2 sleep-ins per month
✨ Enhanced Overtime Rate: An additional +£2.20 per hour over your contracted hours
✨ Additional Staff Bonuses: Opportunity for the whole staff team to earn up to £3000 each, based on performance!
✨ Training & Development: Enrolment onto a fully funded Level 4 in Residential Childcare qualification, paid induction program, and continuous training opportunities, including the therapeutic ‘PACE’ approach, and a realistic pathway to management with opportunity to complete a Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare!

The Role:
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding therapeutic care, and creating a safe, stimulating environment for children at all times. Your key responsibilities will include:
✨Being a role model: Act as a positive role model for young people and colleagues, provide guidance and support to young people in order to create a safe and happy environment for everyone at Insight Care.
✨ Supporting Young People: Act as a key worker, promote life skills, independence, and personal development. Plan and participate in engaging activities and educational programs.
✨ Care Planning: Support with the development and updating of personalised care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans to meet the needs and goals of each child, with a keen focus on their views, wishes, and feelings. Experience using Clearcare is preferred, but not essential.
✨ Safeguarding & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safeguarding policies and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
✨ Communication: Build strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to ensure unrivalled holistic care for young people.
Key Requirements:
✨ Experience working with young people in a residential care setting.
✨ Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
✨ Commitment to the safety, well-being, and development of children.
✨ An empathetic and resilient nature.
✨ Full Manual UK Driving Licence (preferred).
