Akara is a vibrant West African-inspired restaurant in the heart of Borough Yards, serving bold, flavour-packed dishes in a relaxed yet high-quality setting. We’re part of the team behind Michelin-starred Akoko.
We’re looking for a new Floor Manager to join the family

The Role

You’ll be responsible for running the floor day to day and supporting the GM and Restaurant Manager in delivering warm, seamless, world-class service.

You’ll lead the FOH team with confidence, manage service flow, and spend time engaging with guests at the table

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading service and setting the tone on the floor
  • Engaging confidently with guests — guiding them through the tasting menu and pairings
  • Overseeing table-side service with attention to detail and finesse
  • Coaching and managing the FOH team
  • Working closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth operations

  • Experience in busy environments with high attention to details
  • Comfortable with table-side service and confident guest interaction
  • A hands-on leader who sets the tone for calm, professional service
  • Passionate about food, wine, and warm hospitality
