Job Title: Chef

Location: The Halfway House, Royton
Job Type: Full Time (45 Hours)
Salary: Hour Rate starting at £13-14.50

Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times. This is a great opportunity for a skilled chef looking to develop their career in a fast-paced and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee a designated section of the kitchen
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Ensure all food is prepared in line with health and safety regulations
  • Assist in menu planning and development
  • Train and support junior kitchen staff
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your section
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up
  • Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Desirable:
