Canteen Chef – Jollys Catering (Hayes)

Contract Catering | Monday to Friday | No Evenings or Weekends

Jollys Catering is an established contract catering company providing high-quality food services to workplace canteens. We are currently recruiting a Canteen Chef to work at a busy staff restaurant in Hayes, serving a regular customer base in a structured and well-run environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced chef seeking stable, daytime hours, consistent work patterns, and a better work–life balance within professional contract catering.

About the Role

As Canteen Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and service of hot food items and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. The service includes breakfasts, daily hot specials, and made-to-order grill items, alongside cold food preparation.

You will work as part of a small, reliable team, following established menus, food safety procedures, and service standards.

Working Hours & Location

  • Hours: 6:30am – 3:30pm
  • Days: Monday to Friday only
  • No evenings or weekends
  • Location: Windlesham
  • Transport: Own transport preferred due to site access

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook hot breakfasts, daily specials, and grill items to order
  • Assist with preparation of sandwiches, salads, and cold food items
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
  • Manage stock levels and prepare ahead for service
  • Keep the kitchen running smoothly, efficiently, and calmly during service

Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Food Safety Level 3 preferred (Level 2 considered; training available)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
