Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring consistency and adherence to food safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about cooking and eager to develop their culinary skills within a professional setting.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist in the mise en place, including chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
  • Assist with plating and presentation of dishes before service

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience with meal preparation, culinary techniques, and restaurant operations is desirable
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
