We are seeking an experienced and dynamic hands on Bar / Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations of our fast moving 7 day a week vibrant Sports Bar.
As our Bar & Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of both the bar and kitchen. You’ll lead and inspire the team, maintain high food and drink standards, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and drive sales while delivering outstanding customer service.
Operations
- Manage the daily running of the bar and kitchen.
- Ensure smooth service during busy sporting events and peak trading periods.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation throughout the venue.
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, motivate, and develop bar and kitchen staff.
- Create staff rotas that meet business needs.
- Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and high-performing team culture.
Food & Beverage Management
- Monitor food and drink quality to ensure consistency.
- Manage stock ordering, deliveries, and inventory control.
- Minimise waste and control costs.
- Work with suppliers to maintain quality and value.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Licensing Laws, and HACCP procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation.
- Ensure the venue is audit-ready at all times.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous management experience in a busy bar, pub, restaurant, or sports venue.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience managing stock, ordering, and cost control.
- Knowledge of food safety and licensing regulations.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and major sporting events.
Desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience using EPOS and stock management systems.
