Constellation Platinum is seeking an exceptional Bar Manager to lead the bar operation within The Aston — one of the most prestigious hospitality spaces at Aston Villa Football Club. This is a role for a true professional: someone who brings character, confidence, and mastery of premium drinks service while maintaining the invisible Platinum standard that defines our brand.

About Constellation Platinum

Constellation Platinum delivers elevated front‑of‑house experiences across iconic UK venues — from Premier League stadiums and international sporting arenas to world‑class entertainment destinations and private members’ clubs. Our teams serve precision cocktails, premium wines, and curated hospitality within stylish, high‑energy environments designed for discerning guests.

At Aston Villa, The Aston represents the pinnacle of matchday hospitality: refined, exclusive, and fast‑paced, with a focus on exceptional guest experience.

The Role

As Bar Manager, you are the anchor of the bar — the calm, composed, and charismatic presence who ensures every drink, every interaction, and every moment meets Platinum standards.

You will lead a premium bar team, deliver flawless cocktail and wine service, and create an atmosphere where guests feel valued, relaxed, and genuinely welcomed.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Bar Operation — Manage a high‑performing bar team with clarity, fairness, and consistently high standards.
  • Craft Exceptional Drinks — Deliver and oversee premium cocktails, signature serves, and high‑end wine service with precision and creativity.
  • Be the Personality of the Space — Build rapport with guests, recognise returning visitors, and create memorable experiences.
  • Maintain Operational Excellence — Ensure the bar is fully stocked, organised, and prepared ahead of service, considering guest numbers and service flow.
  • Lead Briefings — Prepare your team for service, inspire confidence, and set the tone for a proactive, enthusiastic shift.
  • Stay Composed Under Pressure — Thousands of guests may arrive at once; you remain calm, discreet, and focused.
  • Collaborate Across Teams — Work seamlessly with venue partners, suppliers, and hospitality colleagues to deliver a flawless matchday experience.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in premium bar management, mixology, cocktail bars, private members’ clubs, or high‑end restaurants.
  • Advanced cocktail and mixology skills — essential for The Aston.
  • Strong wine knowledge and confidence discussing flavour profiles, spirits, and pairings.
  • A calm, grounded temperament with excellent decision‑making under pressure.
  • Natural charisma and emotional intelligence when interacting with VIPs, corporate clients, and high‑profile guests.
  • Ability to lead by example in attitude, work ethic, and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and team‑motivation skills.

Requirements

  • Over 18
  • Able to commit to 90% of Aston Villa home fixtures for the 26/27 season
  • Flexible to work additional premium events across our wider portfolio
  • Confident, professional, and guest‑focused
  • Reliable, consistent, and committed to high standards

Why Work With Us?

  • Be part of one of the most prestigious hospitality spaces in Premier League football
  • Competitive weekly pay
  • Flexible additional shifts across premium venues
  • Supportive, high‑performing team environment
  • Access to industry‑recognised training (Health & Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling)
  • Opportunities to grow your skill set through Platinum masterclasses
  • Employee wellbeing support programmes
