Full job description

American’s financial, operational, safety, environmental, and governance controls are effective and comply with company policies, regulations, and industry standards. Support management by identifying risks and recommending improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute audit assignments across business units.
  • Assess internal controls, governance processes, and risk management frameworks.
  • Review financial records, operational processes, and compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop audit programs.
  • Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and potential fraud risks.
  • Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
  • Track implementation of agreed corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve business processes and controls.
  • Support special investigations and ad-hoc assurance projects when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as:
  • Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants ACCA
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants CA/CPA
  • Relevant audit, risk, compliance, or finance experience.
