Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our new pub, garden kitchen and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation, safety standards, and team management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of culinary excellence. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, managing restaurant functions, and fostering a welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food service, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction
  • Supervise and motivate staff members, including servers, kitchen personnel and bar staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold high standards of hygiene and food quality
  • Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to meet quality standards and delivery times
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control inventory to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
  • Implement training programmes for staff to enhance skills in service delivery, food safety, and culinary techniques
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain excellent service standards
  • Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost controls, to optimise profitability
  • Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional development and teamwork

Skills

  • Proven experience in supervising or managing a restaurant or hospitality establishment
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Experience in food production, kitchen operations, and serving procedures
  • Background in hospitality or pub management is advantageous
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism in customer service roles such as serving or barista duties
  • Strong communication skills with the capacity to lead staff effectively and engage with guests confidently

This role is ideal for a motivated individual passionate about delivering outstanding dining experiences while leading a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour
