We are recruiting for a skilled Field Service Forklift Engineer to join a long-established and highly respected UK logistics and materials handling organisation. Covering customer sites across the Dagenham area, this role offers excellent earning potential, strong job security and the opportunity to work within a supportive engineering team.

This position would suit a hands-on Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, Vehicle Technician or Mechanical Engineer with strong fault-finding skills and experience working on forklift trucks, plant equipment or material handling equipment (MHE).

The Role – Field Service Forklift Engineer

As a Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment at customer sites.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Planned servicing and preventative maintenance on forklift trucks and MHE
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out on-site repairs
• Working on diesel, LPG and electric forklift trucks
• Completing service documentation accurately using PDA systems
• Delivering excellent customer service while representing the business professionally
• Managing your daily workload effectively across assigned customer locations

Typically, engineers complete between 3–6 jobs per day depending on the complexity of repairs.

About You

To be successful in this Forklift Engineer role, you will ideally have:

• Experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, HGV Engineer, Vehicle Technician or similar
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good working knowledge of hydraulics, electrics and control systems
• Experience working on counterbalance trucks, reach trucks or other MHE
• A practical, hands-on engineering mindset
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
