Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other essential vehicle systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and services, including oil changes and Pre Delivery Inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Carry out engine diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds, including major engine repairs and component replacement.
  • Diagnose and replace timing chains, timing belts and associated components.
  • Carry out clutch replacements and repairs, including dual-mass flywheels where required.
  • Diagnose, service and repair DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) systems, including DPF regeneration and related fault diagnosis.
  • Perform mechanical fault-finding using diagnostic equipment and identify the root cause of vehicle issues.
  • Complete routine servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs to a high standard.
  • Inspect vehicles, identify additional faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
  • Work safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Skills

  • Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
  • A valid driving licence is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is required.

Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm

Saturdays (when required) 9am-1pm
