Full job description

We're looking for an experienced Night Manager to join our Reception team at the Coppid Beech Hotel. Previous experience in a similar role is essential and applications without relevant experience will not be considered.

This is a key role responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the hotel overnight, ensuring high standards of guest service, safety and operational excellence throughout the night shift.

You'll be joining us at an exciting time as our multi-million-pound refurbishment continues across the hotel.

What you'll be doing...

As Night Manager, you'll be the senior manager on duty overnight, taking responsibility for the hotel and supporting both guests and team members throughout the shift.

  • Representing the hotel's management team during the night
  • Overseeing the smooth operation of the Reception desk and wider hotel
  • Ensuring all night procedures and audits are completed accurately
  • Leading, supporting and supervising the Night Reception team
  • Working closely with departments across the hotel to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Supervising and participating in guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Handling guest enquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Maintaining high standards of guest safety, security and hotel compliance
  • Ensuring a thorough handover is provided to the morning Receptionist team

What we're looking for...

  • Previous experience in a Night Manager or similar supervisory hotel role
  • Strong guest service and leadership skills
  • Experience using hotel systems such as Opera is preferred
  • Experience with Micros would be advantageous
  • Confident working independently and making decisions overnight
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable and comfortable working night shifts
  • A professional and proactive approach
