Full job description

ABOUT US

Pritchard Leisure comprises two family-owned, 5-star holiday parks in North Wales – Sarnfaen Holiday Park and Madryn Castle Holiday Park – both established with a commitment to delivering exceptional holiday experiences. As a family business, we pride ourselves on creating welcoming environments for both our guests and our team, with one simple objective: to provide a place where people can enjoy the moments that matter most.

We are looking for a Customer Service & Operations Assistant to join our friendly team at Sarnfaen Holiday Park, Talybont (near Barmouth).

This is a fantastic opportunity to become a permanent member of our growing team. As one of the first points of contact for our owners, guests and visitors, you will represent Pritchard Leisure with professionalism, enthusiasm and integrity, helping to deliver the outstanding customer service our parks are known for.

This varied role combines customer service, housekeeping and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

JOB SUMMARY

This is a permanent full-time position, working 40 hours per week over 5 days.

The role requires flexibility, with 8 hour shifts scheduled between 7:00am and 8:00pm (e.g. 7am - 3pm or 12pm - 8pm), including weekdays, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis. Shift patterns will vary depending on the needs of the business, and staff rotas are issued at least two weeks in advance.

We understand that some applicants may prefer seasonal employment, and we are also happy to consider applications for a 10-month annual contract, with January and February taken as unpaid leave each year.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Full training will be provided, and you will receive ongoing support from the management team as you develop your skills across the business.

Office Reception, Leisure Club & Café

  • Manage the Leisure Club reception, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for guests and members.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls, emails, bookings and customer payments.
  • Assist new Leisure Club members with registration, account setup and membership enquiries.
  • Promote park facilities and membership options to maximise engagement.
  • Develop competence in all park software systems used in day-to-day operations.
  • Identify customer needs and build positive relationships through professional, friendly communication.
  • Provide accurate information about the holiday park, facilities and local area.
  • Maintain customer records and process documentation accurately.
  • Carry out end-of-day cashing up and reconcile financial transactions.
  • Complete swimming pool water testing (full training provided).
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages within the café, maintaining excellent hygiene and presentation standards.
  • Open and close facilities in accordance with company procedures.

Cleaning & Housekeeping

  • Complete changeovers of hire fleet accommodation to the company's high presentation standards.
  • Clean all internal and external areas, including living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, windows, decking and storage areas.
  • Follow detailed cleaning checklists to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Replenish cleaning products, toiletries and guest amenities.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify the Park Manager when replenishment is required.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damage or missing items.
  • Complete end-of-day cleaning of the Leisure Club and Café and assist with scheduled deep cleans.

PRE-REQUISITE SKILLS

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in customer service, hospitality or housekeeping.
  • Friendly, approachable and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment.
  • Reliable, flexible and proactive.
  • Physically fit and capable of undertaking housekeeping duties.
  • Confident using computers and willing to learn new software systems.
  • A positive team player who takes pride in their work.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and flexible working hours.
