Freelance Event Manager – Foster's Event Catering

Location: Aerospace Bristol

Contract: Freelance / Casual – Starting from September

Rate: Up to £20ph

Hours: Flexible shifts available | Daytime & evening hours | Includes occasional weekends

About Us

At Foster's Event Catering, we're passionate about creating exceptional food and hospitality experiences in some of the UK's most unique venues. We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and organisedFreelance Event Manager to join our team on a flexible, casual basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced hospitality professionals who thrive on delivering outstanding customer experiences and enjoy working across a variety of corporate dinners, conferences and private events in a distinctive venue.

The Role

As a Freelance Event Manager, you will support the wider events team in delivering large-scale conferences, corporate and private events. This is a hands-on role where you'll supervise event operations, coordinate front-of-house teams and ensure every event is delivered to the highest standard.

Working closely with our chefs, front-of-house team and clients, you'll play a key role in creating exceptional hospitality experiences from setup through to event completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the smooth delivery of meetings, conferences and events.
  • Coordinate with chefs, front-of-house teams and suppliers to ensure events are delivered to a high standard.
  • Oversee room setup, furniture layouts, equipment requirements and event presentation.
  • Ensure food and beverage service is delivered professionally and efficiently.
  • Manage event timings, guest requirements and dietary requests.
  • Lead and support front-of-house staff during service.
  • Complete event setup, service and breakdown while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures and venue standards are followed throughout each event.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality or events.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A flexible approach to working daytime, evening and weekend shifts as required.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a wider events team.
