Golden Tours is currently recruiting enthusiastic actors and acting students to join us for our Christmas Lights Tours this winter.

We are particularly interested in speaking with talented, passionate performers who love entertaining people, creating memorable experiences and bringing stories to life.

This is much more than a traditional tour guide role. Our Christmas Lights Tours welcome visitors from all over the world, and our guides are at the heart of the experience. We want our guests to leave the bus thinking, “That was fantastic!” We are therefore looking for performers who are confident, energetic, charismatic, and able to connect with an audience. Someone who can tell a great story, make people laugh, interact with passengers, and create an atmosphere that makes the evening special.

You don't need to know London inside out when you apply as we will train you on the tour, the route, the Christmas Lights commentary and everything you need to know. What we cannot teach is personality. We need people who genuinely enjoy performing. People who can walk onto a bus full of strangers and immediately make them feel welcome. People who can turn a simple journey around London into an experience. People who can make children excited, make families laugh and give visitors from around the world a Christmas memory they will take home with them. That's why we think your students and graduates could be a fantastic fit.

The role is particularly suited to actors who are looking for flexible paid work during the winter while continuing their training, attending auditions or building their professional careers.

Pay: From £35.00 per day

Experience:

  • Acting: 1 year (preferred)
  • tour guiding: 1 year (preferred)
