Child‑Focused Freelance School Photographer – Birmingham – £120–£140/day + Mileage

Carmel Jane Photography is an award‑winning school photography company, and we’re looking for child‑focused, engaging and enthusiastic photographers to join our team photographing in schools around the Birmingham area. We recruit and train the very best people — photographers who care deeply about creating beautiful images and delivering an outstanding experience for every child.

If you love working with young people, can create magical expressions, and enjoy being part of a supportive team, this role is perfect for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Photograph students to a high standard while showing genuine care
  • Create a fun, positive experience for children and staff
  • Travel to primary and secondary schools within Birmingham and surrounding areas
  • Represent Carmel Jane Photography with professionalism and warmth
  • Follow our proven techniques taught in CJP training sessions

What We’re Looking For

  • Child‑focused — warm, patient, confident and able to bring out magical expressions in young people
  • Enthusiastic — energetic, positive and genuinely excited about creating great images
  • Team players — reliable, supportive and proud to represent Carmel Jane Photography on every job
  • Photography experience (we’ll teach you our school photography methods)
  • Able to work fast in a fun, high‑volume, physically active environment
  • Strong weekday availability in September & October is essential
  • Own professional camera, lens & laptop
  • Clean driving licence + reliable car
