I am looking to supplement our team with a Set dresser.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production Leaders to produce creative and bespoke work. Taking instruction from Project managers, and members of the design team.
This is a Freelance position so a UTR is required or be prepared to register as Self Employed. All potential candidates must have a form of Public Liability Insurance in place.
Standard working hours are 8am – 4.30pm equating to an eight-hour day.
Key responsibilities:
- Create decorations by attaching lights and decorative items to prefabricated steel frames and other structures
- Work closely with the design team throughout the production process to achieve the desired finish
- Refurbish decorations so that they can be re–installed safely and look as good as they did when they were made
- Package decorations so that they can be delivered to site safely without being damaged.
- Carry out basic workshop tasks under the supervision of the Workshop Manager/Supervisors
- Handle stock and decorations safely from storage to production spaces
- Support the Operations dept. with the loading/unloading of Trucks & Vans when required.

- Maintain levels of concentration and quality control in both repetitive and more complicated tasks
- Ability to follow instructions accurately (both verbal and written)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be a positive team member, take personal responsibility and pride in your work
- Follow H & S procedures and rules at all times
