Joseph James Furniture Outlet is the UK’s biggest furniture outlet with four stores - Stockport, Stretford, Warrington and St Helens - plus an online store.

We sell branded stock sourced from retailers including Furniture Village, DFS, Very and many more - all at a fraction of their original retail price. Most pieces are one-of-one: when it’s gone, it’s gone.

The Role

We’re looking for a Social Media and Content Producer who can film, edit and manage the content that gets our products seen and sold.

This is a hands-on role with equal focus on video production and social media. You’ll have genuine creative input into what we make, when it goes live and how our channels grow.

Further there is a monthly bonus paid out which scales dependent on how many organic views you achieve across all platforms (Tiktok, Instagram and Youtube).

You’ll need:

• Proven experience filming and editing short-form video
• A portfolio/showreel demonstrating your own filming and editing
• Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram and Facebook
• Confidence using CapCut and Canva
• Good understanding of camera, lighting and audio
• The ability to create an engaging story quickly and understand what makes a strong hook
• Good organisation and the ability to work to deadlines
• Confidence directing people who aren't professional performers
• A creative, self-starting approach — we want someone who spots opportunities rather than waiting to be told what to do
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• The right to work in the UK
• Experience creating paid social advertising, motion graphics or using AI creative tools would be an advantage.

Working hours:

This is a flexible role where filming doesn't always fit a traditional 9–5.

For example, we currently film with a freelance talent on a Wednesday from around 2pm until 8–9pm, so you'll need to be comfortable working later hours when required.

This role will be 2 full days a week (Thursday & Friday) in-office.
