Social Hotspot is a UK-based Meta advertising agency working exclusively with UK trades businesses: bathroom, kitchen and window companies. We work with 80+ companies across the country and have generated over £25 million in tracked sales for our partners so far, and our mission is to reach £100 million.

Our clients are proper businesses run by proper people. Our job is to show that on camera. Real installs, real owners and real customers are what make our ads work, and that's where you come in.

We're building a network of regional videographers so every client, wherever they are in the UK, gets high-quality content captured on their doorstep. We're now looking for videographers in Leeds.

The role

You'll be our go-to videographer for clients in your region. We'll send you a shoot brief, a script plan and a shot list from our creative team. You turn up, capture the content, and send us the footage. Our in-house editing team handles the edit, so this role is about capturing great raw material on the day.

Typical shoots include:

Owner-to-camera pieces and scripted ad reads for Meta ads

Customer testimonials in finished kitchens, bathrooms and homes

Before-and-after and finished-project walkthroughs

Showroom and workshop footage

B-roll of fitters, installs and craftsmanship

Occasional behind-the-scenes and podcast-style content

What you'll be doing

Travelling to client showrooms, workshops and customers' homes across your region

Following shoot briefs and shot lists while spotting extra opportunities on the day

Directing business owners and homeowners who aren't used to being on camera, putting them at ease and getting natural, confident delivery

Capturing clean audio and well-lit footage in real homes (tight bathrooms, bright kitchens, mixed light)

Shooting vertical-first (9:16) for Meta, with horizontal where requested

Uploading organised, clearly labelled footage within 24–48 hours of each shoot

Representing Social Hotspot professionally in front of our clients and their customers

What we're looking for

Essential:

A portfolio showing people-focused content: interviews, testimonials, talking heads or social ads

Your own kit, including a camera capable of 4K, lav or shotgun mics, and portable lighting

Confidence directing non-professionals on camera

A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle

Reliability. You turn up on time, prepared, and deliver when you say you will

Based in or near [region] and happy to travel within it

Nice to have:

Experience shooting short-form social or paid ad content

Experience filming in homes, interiors or construction and trades settings

Gimbal and drone (with appropriate licence)

Basic editing skills for quick selects or rough cuts if needed

You don't need to know anything about kitchens, bathrooms or windows. You do need to be good with people and good behind a camera.

Application question(s):

• Confirm you have at least 2 cameras (4K), 2 tripods/monopods, 1 gimbal, 1 drone, lenses for wide angle, and a public liability insurance (These are the minimum materials required to perform the job)
• Confirm you have a full UK driving license and a car
