Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder specialising in imports and exports to join our growing logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling international freight operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing import and export shipments from booking through to successful completion.
• Preparing and processing customs clearance documentation in accordance with current regulations.
• Coordinating deliveries and liaising effectively with hauliers, shipping lines, overseas agents, and other service providers.
• Preparing and issuing competitive quotations to both prospective and existing customers.
• Maintaining clear and professional communication with customers, suppliers and overseas partners throughout the shipment process.
• Ensuring all shipping and customs documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.
• Monitoring shipments proactively and resolving operational issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through the delivery of exceptional service.
• Providing a high standard of customer support and responding promptly to customer enquiries.
• Contributing positively to the overall efficiency and success of the operations team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' proven experience within the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong working knowledge of import and export procedures across multiple transport modes.
• Experience in customs clearance procedures and associated documentation.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities effectively.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• A customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Ability to work independently using initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in, Destin8, CSN and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• A proactive, professional, and solution-oriented attitude.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

Location: Office-based
