Job Summary

1 HOUR A WEEK - TERM TIME ONLY

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery French Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging French sessions tailored to young children in a nursery setting. Applicants should possess excellent communication abilities and a genuine love for working with children, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with experience in early childhood education and childcare.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate French activities that promote early childhood development
  • Create a joyful and inclusive atmosphere that encourages children's participation and enjoyment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe and organised environment
  • Collaborate with nursery staff to integrate French sessions into the overall curriculum
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress during the cover period
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's participation and progress in French activities
  • Demonstrate leadership by guiding assistant staff or volunteers when necessary
  • Ensure all activities comply with nursery policies, health, safety, and safeguarding standards including no screen time for under 5's.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
  • Strong background in managing or leading small groups of young children during educational activities
  • Experience in childcare or nursery environments, with a focus on Gym or sports with young children.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to demonstrate management skills, including organisation, planning, and leadership within a classroom setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in nursery education
  • Valid driving licence is desirable for travel between nursery locations or community engagement activities

This role provides an enriching environment for those passionate about early childhood education through MFL. The successful candidate will play a vital part in supporting children's growth while demonstrating professional management capabilities. An enhanced DBS check inline with safer recruitment procedures will be required.

Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
