Full job description

Job Title: Guest Experience Assistant
Location: Ashridge House, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, HP4 1NS
Reports to: Front of House Manager
Shifts: Four days on and Four days off, 12-hour shifts including weekends.

We are looking for a polished, personable and guest-focused individual to join our Front of House team at Ashridge House.

As one of the first people our guests meet on arrival, you will play an important role in creating a warm, seamless and memorable experience. From welcoming guests at the front gate to supporting check-ins and assisting with guest requests, this is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys delivering exceptional service.

This position is split between greeting guests on arrival across the estate and supporting the team within the Gatehouse office. Please note, parts of the role involve working outdoors while welcoming guests.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver a professional and welcoming guest arrival and departure experience
  • Support reception with guest check-in and check-out when required
  • Assist with luggage coordination and guest requests
  • Provide directions, local information and general support throughout guests’ stay
  • Maintain a calm, organised and professional presence at all times
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Front of House team to ensure excellent service delivery

Who are you?

  • Confident communicating with a wide range of guests
  • Professional in both presentation and manner
  • Proactive, reliable and attentive to detail
  • Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, hotels, events or customer-facing roles preferred
  • Full UK driving licence essential
