Job Summary

Aurelia is seeking a friendly, professional Server to join our vibrant all-day dining team. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will help deliver outstanding guest experiences across our breakfast and Italian dining service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. While prior restaurant experience is preferred, full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a supportive and respected Aylesbury restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently and enthusiastically.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, including noting dietary requirements and breakfast preferences.
  • Serve breakfast dishes, Italian mains, coffees, and drinks efficiently while maintaining high presentation standards.
  • Upsell menu items where appropriate to enhance guest experience and support sales.
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards throughout service.
  • Assist with simple service prep tasks when needed, supporting the kitchen during busy periods.
  • Manage multiple tables effectively, ensuring timely service and smooth guest flow.
  • Respond to guest queries professionally and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
  • Set up, clear, and reset tables to a high standard, keeping service areas clean and organised.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak breakfast and dinner times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is beneficial but not essential.
  • Understanding of food safety and basic food handling practices.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, engaging personality.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy dining environment.
  • Basic numeracy for handling bills and payments accurately.
  • A genuine love for customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
