Zest Harbourside

Zest Harbourside is a busy, family-friendly restaurant looking for an experienced and motivated Manager/ Assistant Manager to join our team and help oversee all aspects of our front-of-house operation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys leading a team, and can thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Hours

  • 30-35 hours per week
  • A mixture of weekday, evening, and weekend shifts

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day front-of-house operation
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting the front-of-house team
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere
  • Coordinating restaurant service during busy periods
  • Managing bookings, guest arrivals, and table flow
  • Assisting with staff training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
  • Supporting stock control, bar operations, and opening/closing procedures
  • Working closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth service

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in a supervisory or management role within hospitality
  • Confident, organised, and proactive
  • A strong leader with excellent communication skills
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and make decisions quickly
