Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Front of House member to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a bubbly personality to welcome and engage with all our customers. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving a variety of dishes and beverages in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to manage time effectively and maintain all licensing standards. All applications must be over 18 years.

Responsibilities

  • Available weekends to cover a range of shifts from breakfast, lunch and dinner service
  • Ability to work until bar closes at 12 am Friday and Saturday, 10 pm on Sundays
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils
  • Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, assisting with stock management as needed
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible serving practices at all times
  • Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering any questions about the menu or drinks available
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring all payments are processed correctly
  • To be competent in the ability to run food service in the bar and restaurant

Experience

  • Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is required
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
  • Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and drink measurements
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain a safe working environment
  • A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to foster positive customer interactions
  • All applicants must have a full driving license and transport due to the location of the Hotel
