Hours: 35 hours per week

Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8:45am - 4:45pm and Friday 8:45am - 4:15pm

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a full time Administration Assistant within Community & Enterprise Resources.

This post requires a motivated individual to provide an administrative support to Planning and Building Standards services, based in Almada Street, Hamilton.

The main duties of the post include registering and processing planning and building standards applications and related correspondence, including issuing decisions, processing payments and related banking duties, digitising planning applications and preparing and issuing neighbour notification notices.

Training will be provided as required but you will be able to demonstrate good organisational and communication skills and experience in undertaking a broad range of administrative duties.

  • Planning and Building Standards applications are processed using an integrated electronic workflow which is linked to the case management system and DMS. What experience do you have of working with integrated electronic systems?
  • The post holder will be required to plot the outline of planning application sites on a digitised mapping system - how would you ensure that you maintain accuracy and at the same time ensure tight deadlines are met?
