We are looking to employee multiple candidates for a full time office based medical secretary position based in Harlow Essex with a view to working from home after successful three month probationary period

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly organised office based Medical Secretary to support consultants as part of Doctors Secretarial Services. The successful applicant will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Answering telephone calls professionally and promptly
  • Managing patient enquiries, bookings, and follow-ups
  • Diary management and appointment scheduling
  • Handling correspondence (email and letters)
  • Managing referrals and liaising with hospitals, insurers, and patients
  • Using practice management systems to maintain accurate patient records
  • Supporting consultants with general administrative duties
  • Ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance at all times

Competent using:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Gmail / Google Workspace

Communication:

  • Empathetic
  • Able to manage complex issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
