Full job description

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Trainee Assistant Manager to join our management team at Barluga Morpeth in Sanderson Arcade. Located in Morpeth's town centre, known for its welcoming atmosphere, great food, and excellent service, this is an excellent opportunity for an individual keen to develop their hospitality leadership skills and who has a genuine commitment to delivering high standards of customer service and operational excellence.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Managers to maintain high standards, support staff development, and deliver a consistently positive experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and support the management team
  • Lead and motivate staff during shifts
  • Maintain excellent standards of service, cleanliness, and safety
  • Assist with stock control, cash handling and venue opening and closing
  • Ensure daily compliance with licensing and health & safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisor or junior management role within hospitality
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure
  • A genuine interest in food, drink and customer service
