Who are The Casey Group?
We’re an award-winning, Manchester-based, family-owned construction business with a clear purpose at the heart of everything we do: Improving Lives.
At Casey, we don’t just build projects – we create places that help people live, work and thrive. Our passionate team is driven by making a genuine, positive difference, not only through the spaces we deliver but through the impact we leave behind in the communities we serve.
Our work goes beyond the built environment. We champion local employment, skills development and sustainable practices, creating opportunities and better futures along the way. From apprenticeships and training to supporting local charities and delivering safe, welcoming environments, people always come first.
Our head office is based in a modern, purpose-built building less than four miles from Junction 21 of the M62, offering convenient commuting and excellent transport links. Set in the countryside and surrounded by picturesque reservoirs, the office provides a calm, welcoming environment where people can focus on their work while remaining easily accessible.
If you want to be part of a business where purpose, people and quality truly matter – and where your work helps improve lives every day – you’ll feel at home at Casey.
Who are we looking for?
At Casey, we believe great relationships create opportunities, drive growth and help us deliver projects that genuinely improve lives. We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded Business Development / Customer Relationship Manager who thrives on networking, identifying opportunities and building trusted relationships that generate new business.
This is an exciting opportunity to become one of Casey's key ambassadors. Working closely with our bid, marketing, operational and leadership teams, you'll actively develop and expand our network across clients, consultants, framework partners and industry stakeholders. Your focus will be on identifying new leads, opening doors to future opportunities, strengthening our presence in the market and converting relationships into sustainable business growth.
Alongside developing new opportunities, you'll nurture and grow our existing client relationships, ensuring Casey remains a trusted partner of choice and is well positioned to secure repeat business and expand our service offering. Your work will directly contribute to Casey's growth, helping us win new opportunities, strengthen long-term partnerships and create places, environments and opportunities that leave a positive and lasting legacy for the communities we serve.
The Detail
What you’ll be doing:
- Generate and develop new business opportunities through proactive networking, market engagement and relationship building.
- Build, nurture and grow strategic relationships with prospective and existing clients to secure new work, repeat business and account growth.
- Manage a robust pipeline of opportunities through the CRM system, providing accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Represent Casey at client meetings, industry events and networking forums, raising our profile and identifying future opportunities.
- Gather market and customer intelligence to identify trends, support business planning and position Casey ahead of opportunities.
- Work closely with bid, marketing and operational teams to convert relationships and opportunities into successful project wins.
This role is about more than maintaining relationships. It's about creating opportunities. You'll play a key role in growing Casey's pipeline, expanding our client base, strengthening existing partnerships and helping to secure the projects that will shape the future of our business. Through proactive networking, relationship building and business development, you'll help Casey continue to improve lives while delivering sustainable long-term growth.
The skills and experience you’ll bring:
- Experience in business development, client relationship management or account growth.
- A confident networker who enjoys building relationships and creating opportunities.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and convert new business leads.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience developing existing client relationships and securing repeat business.
- Organised, proactive and comfortable managing a sales pipeline and CRM system.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- A collaborative, values-driven approach aligned with Casey's purpose of Improving Lives.
What we offer you:
Competitive package – Competitive salary dependant on experience, benefits and access to the Tusker Car Scheme.
Excellent financial benefits – Enhanced pension contributions and life assurance cover of 3x salary.
Generous holiday entitlement – 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, a Christmas shutdown, holiday purchase/sale options, and additional annual leave through our Casey Loyalty Scheme.
