Our UK team plays a key role in supporting this growth working collaboratively across Buying, Design, Operations, and Finance to ensure the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand.

As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a commercially driven Merchandising Executive to join our UK team in Stevenage.

Role Overview

This is a high-impact role suited to a strong mid-level Merchandiser with experience managing large SKU counts in fast-paced retail environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring stock is accurately forecasted, well-managed and consistently available, enabling the marketing team to drive trade effectively. Owning forecasting and stock flow, you’ll take responsibility for keeping the business well-stocked and ready to convert demand, while using data-led insights to influence buying decisions and maximise performance.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Stock Ownership

  • Own stock management across high SKU product categories, ensuring optimal availability and sell-through
  • Manage WSSI/trade plans, reviewing performance weekly against sales, intake, and margin targets
  • Take proactive action on best sellers, slow movers, and ageing stock (repeats, markdowns, exits)
  • Drive availability while controlling stock risk in a fast-paced trading environment
  • Manage intake and flow to align with demand, seasonality, and space constraints

Forecasting & Planning

  • Produce robust, data-driven forecasts across core and new ranges
  • Reforecast regularly based on trading performance, trends, and external factors
  • Partner closely with Buying to shape range plans, depth, and option count
  • Manage high SKU complexity, ensuring clarity and accuracy across planning tools
  • Align demand planning with supplier lead times and operational capacity

Commercial & Trading Analysis

  • Analyse key KPIs: sales, margin, sell-through, stock turn, intake margin
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to drive profit and performance improvements
  • Lead or contribute to weekly trade meetings with strong commercial recommendations
  • Identify risks and opportunities, taking ownership to drive outcomes
  • Support seasonal planning, budgeting, and post-season reviews

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Buying & Design on range architecture and option planning
  • Work with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure efficient stock flow
  • Support Finance with forecasting, budgeting, and margin planning
  • Act as a credible, data-led voice across stakeholders

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 3+ years as a Merchandiser (or strong Assistant Merchandiser ready to step up)
  • Experience in high SKU, fast-paced retail environments
  • Background in tier-1 retailers or high-performing brands
  • Proven track record of delivering strong trading results and operating as a high performer
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power BI, lookups, forecasting models)
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to turn data into action
  • Experience managing WSSI, forecasting, and stock planning

Desirable

  • We’re specifically looking for candidates who have proven success in high-volume, high-performing retail businesses.
  • Experience in furniture, home, or large-item retail
  • Exposure to scaling or high-growth businesses
  • Knowledge of supply chain, lead times, and import cycles
  • Experience with merchandising/ERP systems
  • Exposure to or involvement in product development (e.g. working closely with design/buying on product creation, range building, or new product launches) would be a strong advantage
