The Opportunity

Our client is an established London-based alternative investment manager with specialist expertise across credit markets. The firm operates a range of investment strategies across hedge fund and private credit, combining a rigorous investment approach with an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to take a leading role across the firm's operations, finance and fund management infrastructure.

This is a broad, hands-on position working closely with senior management and the investment team, with significant ownership and visibility across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operational management of the investment firm and its funds.
  • Oversee the firm's finance, accounting and financial reporting functions.
  • Provide oversight of fund operations, fund accounting and related controls.
  • Manage and coordinate key external service providers and counterparties.
  • Maintain and enhance the firm's operational and financial control framework.
  • Support senior management across business planning, strategic initiatives and operational decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and operational infrastructure.

Candidate Profile

  • 8–10+ years' relevant experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment manager or similar financial-services environment.
  • ACA / ACCA / CA or equivalent qualified.
  • Strong experience across financial management, accounting and fund operations.
  • Solid understanding of investment funds and the broader alternative investment management environment.
  • Experience managing external administrators, auditors, banks and other key service providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders and to work closely with senior management and investment professionals.
  • Strong financial-control, analytical and organisational capabilities.
  • Commercially minded, hands-on and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial investment environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance and operations professional to take on a senior, high-ownership role within an established and growing alternative investment manager.

Pay: From £75,000.00 per year

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:
