Main purpose of position

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the high-quality delivery of our educational programmes at their delivery site. This includes ensuring exceptional outcomes and support for learners or all abilities. They will lead and role model a strong learning culture whilst fostering establishing positive behaviours and attitudes towards learning.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Delivering outstanding teaching and learning activity
  • Marking and assessing learner work and providing impactful feedback
  • Establishing and maintaining strong lines of communication with parents/carers/partners/community stakeholders
  • Interviewing and enrolling prospective learners
  • Attendance at our programme of CPD and development
  • Working with your line manager to monitor, report and track outcomes for learners
  • Working with internal support functions to ensure an excellent learning experience in all domains
  • Supporting learners to achieve positive work experience placements to complement their study programme
  • Working closely with English and Maths specialists to support the delivery of English and Maths qualifications
  • Attend parents’ evenings, recruitment and promotional events
  • Meet all course and general administration requirements such as but not limited to:

- Management and reporting of student attendance

- Use of ProSuite software to track, monitor and rapidly improve learner performance and progress

- Quality assurance activity

- Management and reporting of student behaviour

- Learner reports

- Ensuring all Health and Safety checks are completed

- Undertake reasonable requests of your line manager

Skills and qualifications

ESSENTIAL

· GCSE Maths and English or L2 equivalent

· A recognised secondary or post 16 teaching qualification, e.g PGCE, DTTLS, DET, A1 Award or the willingness to work towards one

· 3 A-Levels or equivalent (NCFE, BTEC etc) or relevant professional qualifications

· Degree in relevant areas (E.g Sports Science, Sports Coaching), or significant sector experience

· First Aid

Desirable skills and qualifications

· Verification or Assessors Award

· Safeguarding

· Fitness Instruction and/or Personal Training L2 and L3
