Job Overview
We are a reputable dental practice located in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre, known for providing high-quality care in a modern and welcoming environment. Our team of professionals is passionate about delivering exceptional dental services and creating a positive experience for each of our patients. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our practice and contribute to its ongoing success.

Position Overview:
As Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of the practice. This is a leadership position that requires a proactive and solution-oriented individual who can manage both clinical and administrative aspects of the practice. You will ensure that our team operates efficiently, maintain a high standard of patient care, and oversee the practice’s financial performance.

Duties

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Supervise, train, and support a team of dental professionals, including receptionists, hygienists, and dental assistants.
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service, handling patient inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain effective scheduling systems to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.
  • Handle billing, insurance claims, collections, and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Oversee office supplies and inventory management to ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Ensure the practice complies with relevant healthcare regulations, including GDPR and CQC standards (if applicable).
  • Assist with the preparation and management of the practice budget, financial reports, and forecasts.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure clear communication and team collaboration.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and HR functions, including payroll, benefits, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate marketing and patient outreach efforts to enhance patient acquisition and retention.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to improve operational efficiencies and patient care quality.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a dental practice management or similar healthcare management role is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in practice management software (e.g., SOE Exact, Dentrix, or similar systems).
  • In-depth knowledge of dental insurance processes, coding, and billing systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, reporting, and managing office expenses.
  • Proactive, friendly, and professional with a focus on patient satisfaction.
  • A degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Pay: £31,737.00-£33,893.00 per year
