Oncology Nurse – The Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford

3 days per week (2 days in Trust, 1 day remote)
or
School hours (22.5 hours per week, working hours/days to suit – Mon to Fri)

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of breast cancer patients?

Would you like to be part of a supportive and dynamic team who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care?

If so, we invite you to join our team at Apodi on our rapidly growing breast cancer Patient Support Programme. Working alongside a globally renowned pharmaceutical company providing gold standard care to breast cancer patients, you’ll be responsible for your own caseload of patients in both a remote and an NHS clinic setting monitoring patients, conducting virtual or face to face holistic toxicity assessments & reviewing and interpreting test results.

Key Responsibilities
· Working as part of a supportive, dynamic team of Specialist Nurses – focused on the delivery of this Patient Support Programme.
· Review blood results (CBC, liver function tests, electrolytes) and ECGs for patients.
· Undertake comprehensive toxicity assessments aligned to local clinical pathways and protocols.
· Deliver in‑clinic assessments and adhere to all protocols.
· Communicate assessment findings clearly to the prescribing HCP and wider MDT.
· Confirm patient identity, obtain consent, and follow any special instructions before assessments.
· Maintain accurate, compliant documentation for Apodi and Trust records.
· Collaborate closely with NHS Trust teams to support integrated patient care.
· Manage your time and schedule effectively, working both autonomously and as part of the Apodi team.
· Report all Adverse Events immediately in line with protocol and pharmacovigilance requirements.

About You
· Oncology Nurse with current/recent NHS Experience.
· Proven experience of working in nurse-led clinics.
· Proven ability to work at a high level of independence.
· Excellent oncology experience and those on systemic anti‑cancer therapies (SACT).
· Breast cancer experience desirable, but not essential.
· Demonstrated ability in toxicity assessment and clinical interpretation; ECG knowledge desirable.
· Strong communication, administration, and organisational skills; confident working autonomously.
· Computer literacy (MS Teams, email, databases).
· Current NMC registration (no restriction on practice).
· Clear enhanced DBS (or relevant devolved‑nation check.
· Current UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
