Join our friendly medical team as a receptionist and be the welcoming face of French Weir Health Centre.

French Weir Health Centre is a bustling, busy GP Practice in the heart of Taunton, Somerset. Our team of 12 doctors look after 17,500 patients and this is made possible with the support of our dedicated and committed reception and admin teams.

We currently have a vacancy for a receptionist who has prior experience of working as a receptionist in a healthcare environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic, well motivated individual to fit into our friendly, forward-thinking team. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work well under pressure. Strong communication and a positive attitude are a must.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 x GCSEs grade 4-9 (grade A-C for GCSEs prior to 2021 or equivalent). Previous healthcare reception experience is desirable.
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Provide accurate information to callers and signpost to appropriate services/clinicians
- Schedule appointments
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area

The working hours are:

PART-TIME ROLE:

Monday: 1.00 pm - 6.30 pm

Tuesday: 1.00 pm to 6.30 pm

Wednesday: 1.00 pm to 6.30 pm

Thursday : 1.00 pm to 6.30 pm

Friday: 1.00 pm to 6.30 pm

Total = 27.5 hours per week

Pay: £12.92 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
