We're looking for a Receptionist to join our team at Chorlton Health Centre, Manchester providing an excellent front-of-house service and helping to create a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for patients, visitors and colleagues. Through your day-to-day interactions, you'll play an important role in shaping the experience people have when visiting the centre.


  • Location: Chorlton Health Centre, Manchester
  • Salary: £13.04 per hour
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Working Pattern: Monday Thursday 08:30-16:30
  • Standard DBS Check Required


What you'll be doing

As the first point of contact for many visitors, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience for everyone who enters the building.

You'll:

  • Welcome patients, visitors and contractors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Respond to enquiries in person, over the telephone and via email
  • Support visitor sign-in processes and provide accurate information
  • Coordinate room bookings and appointments where required
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Complete a range of administrative tasks and maintain accurate records
  • Help ensure reception and public areas remain tidy, welcoming and well-presented
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Provide holiday cover when required


What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys helping people and delivering great customer service
  • Communicates clearly and professionally
  • Can manage a variety of tasks and enquiries throughout the day
  • Remains calm and organised when priorities change
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Has basic administrative and IT skills


Previous reception experience is beneficial, but we're equally interested in people with transferable customer service and administration skills.
