Job Title: Dental Nurse/ Treatment & Team Coordinator (TCO) /Receptionist – Specialist Orthodontic Practice
Location: Ashton-Under-Lyne

Overview

We are a friendly, well-established orthodontic practice seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental or Orthodontic Nurse to join our professional team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Dental Nurse who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment and is passionate about delivering an exceptional patient journey. The role combines clinical nursing support with team & treatment coordination responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both patient care and communication.

Previous experience in orthodontics and NHS/Private Treatment Coordination is desirable, and a radiography qualification would be highly advantageous.

Clinical Duties:

  • Chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
  • Preparation and sterilisation of instruments and equipment
  • Taking clinical records photographs and radiographs (where qualified). Training will be provided.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with GDC standards
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC, HTM 01-05 and cross-infection protocols

Team and Treatment Coordinator Duties:

  • Conducting patient consultations and explaining orthodontic treatment options
  • Presenting treatment plans and discussing fees and finance options
  • Supporting patients through their treatment journey from enquiry to start
  • Following up on patient enquiries and converting consultations into starts
  • Acting as the main point of contact for new and existing patients
  • Managing diaries efficiently to support practice growth
  • To work is fully organised team memeber of clinical and non-clinal team

Receptionist Duties:

  • Greeting and welcoming patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Managing telephone calls and patient enquiries efficiently
  • Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments to optimise diary management
  • Processing payments
  • Arrange on phone Treatment Coordination (patient Q&A session)

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

  • GDC registered Dental Nurse
  • Indemnity (practice can help you with free Indemnity as part of our team)
  • Hep B vaccination
  • DBS check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, confident and patient-focused approach
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • IT literate and comfortable using dental software systemsDesirable:
  • Previous experience as a Treatment/Team Coordinator (TCO)
  • Previous reception experience
  • Radiography qualification
  • Experience working within an orthodontic practice
  • Knowledge of patient finance options and treatment presentationTraining:
  • Practice will provide in house training
  • Training for radiography certificate and inhalation sedation will be provided with practice finance
