Full job description

Junction Medical Practice (N19) is seeking a reliable and experienced Receptionist to join our friendly team. This role is ideal for an individual with prior experience in a GP practice who is proficient in EMIS and other relevant IT systems. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask in a busy environment, excellent communication skills, and a punctual and dependable approach to work, ensuring a compassionate and patient-focused approach to care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service, ensuring all patients are checked in upon arrival.
  • Handle patient enquiries professionally, both in person and over the phone.
  • Manage appointment bookings, patient registrations, and updates to patient records.
  • Process prescription requests and manage medical notes.
  • Coordinate interpreter bookings when required.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, administrative staff, and external medical teams.
  • Maintain and order stock as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • GCSE grade A to C (9-4) in English and Maths.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a GP practice is essential.
  • Proficiency in EMIS and other healthcare IT systems (e.g., Docman, AccuRx).
