*Overview*

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and enhancing patient experiences.

*Job Specifics*

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT ROLE FOR 6 MONTHS COVERING MATERNITY LEAVE

Tuesday 12:30pm - 6:30pm

Thursday 12:30pm - 6:30pm

Friday 12:30pm - 6:30pm

18 Hours total

*Duties*

- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.

- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations.

- Handle incoming calls, directing them to appropriate staff as necessary.

- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld.

- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.

- Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times.

- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.

- Triage incoming queries as part of the Total Triage GP Model

*Experience*

- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.

- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in office software applications.

- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.

- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

- A compassionate approach towards patients and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
