Garden Support Worker (Part Time)

Baldock, Buntingford and East Hertfordshire

You should be resident in Hertforshire.

Do you want to earn some extra money with a flexible job that fits around your weekly schedule?

Or are you retired and want to help support your local community?

Age UK Hertfordshire has been providing services to older people across Hertfordshire for many years and our new gardening service offers the same trusted support – keeping gardens tidy and looking great.

What we ask is that you are compassionate and care about older people. Are honest, trustworthy and of course like gardening and working outdoors.

Typical jobs can be:

  • Mowing the Lawn
  • Hedge trimming
  • General garden tidying

You will need a full UK driving licence with access to your own car and business car insurance. Your car must be big enough to transport the equipment from job to job and you must have somewhere safe to store it. We will provide gardening equipment if needed (mower, strimmer, hedge trimmer).

What we offer is:

  • £13.25 per hour PLUS paid holiday pay
  • Mileage at 45p per mile
  • Flexible work between 9am & 4.30pm Monday to Friday
  • No evening or weekend working
  • Blue Light Discount Card

An enhanced DBS criminal record check is required for this role.
