Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Garden Maintenance Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, applying horticultural skills and landscape maintenance techniques to a variety of projects. Experience with gardening tools and irrigation systems is highly desirable, along with a passion for horticulture and landscape care.

Duties

  • utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out pruning, trimming, planting, and general garden upkeep
  • install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of plants and lawns
  • perform lawn mowing, edging, weeding, and mulching to maintain aesthetic appeal
  • assist with planting new flora, shrubs, trees, and seasonal displays
  • monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases for appropriate treatment
  • undertake landscape maintenance tasks such as soil preparation, fertilising, and aeration
  • ensure all equipment is maintained in good condition and operated safely
  • collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards

Experience

  • previous experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is advantageous
  • growing experience or knowledge of plant care and landscape maintenance practices is desirable
