Organic Gardens has been maintaining residential and commercial gardens across South West London for over a decade. We provide high-quality garden services to properties in Teddington, Richmond, Twickenham and the surrounding area. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Gardener to join our team and help us maintain the high standards our clients have come to expect.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Gardener, you will play an important role in maintaining and enhancing a range of outdoor spaces – from small private gardens to larger commercial grounds. In addition to core gardening duties such as mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, and general plant care, you will:

  • Supervise and support a small team of one to two gardeners, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and to a professional standard
  • Provide on-site guidance, training, and motivation to junior team members
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and service is delivered to a professional standard
  • Assist with planning daily schedules and allocating tasks to ensure efficiency across sites

You’ll work closely with our friendly and experienced team, visiting different sites across the week. Supporting positive customer relationships and helping to deliver great service with a personal touch.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

We’re looking for an experienced gardener with proven skills in plant care and garden maintenance who can also demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal abilities. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience supervising or leading a small team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and delegate tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence when interacting with clients
  • A practical, hands-on approach combined with the ability to guide and support others
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to delivering consistently excellent results

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3–4 years professional gardening experience
  • Excellent plant knowledge
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Driving licence

HOURS & HOLIDAYS:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • No weekend work
  • 20 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Mandatory time off over Christmas period
