Full job description

Job Overview
We are looking for experienced Gardeners to be part of team on a prestigious family owned estate. The job entails working largely within a formal garden setting and you must have experience with hedge cutting, working at heights and mowing as this is a large part of the role. A Sharp eye for detail to keep large gardens healthy and ready for guests, experience of maintaining newly developed landscapes would also be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake all aspects of grounds and garden maintenance
  • Use of ride-on mowers, strimmer’s, blowers and hedge cutters
  • Maintenance of hand tools and machinery
  • Record tasks and report progress to the head gardener
  • Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases that may affect the garden's integrity.
  • Strong plant knowledge and solid lawn care skills.
  • Organized, detail focused, and comfortable working outdoors year round.
  • Clear communicator who can work without close supervision.

Skills

  • Broad knowledge of Gardening ideally 5 years plus and proven experience in private gardens
  • Formal Horticultural qualification is preferred
  • PA1 and PA6 spraying certificate
