Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Workers to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of our clients outdoor spaces across multiple sites in the Midlands area. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in grounds keeping and landscape maintenance, demonstrating proficiency in using various tools and equipment to maintain gardens, lawns, and other landscaped areas.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine grounds keeping tasks including mowing, edging lawns, hedge trimming, leaf collection, litter picking, herbicide treatments.
  • Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees through planting, pruning, and weeding.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various maintenance tasks.
  • Irrigate plants and lawns as needed to ensure proper hydration.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
  • Maintain equipment by performing basic mechanical checks and repairs when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete larger projects efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in grounds keeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools safely.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
  • Driving licence essential
  • CSCS green card qualification essential
