Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves working with various power and hand tools to maintain gardens and outdoor spaces, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing.

Duties

  • Perform regular garden maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
  • Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers to maintain grounds.
  • Utilise hand tools effectively for planting and maintaining flower beds and shrubs.
  • Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
  • Assist in the design and layout of garden spaces, incorporating a variety of plants for visual appeal.
  • Monitor plant health and growth, identifying any issues or diseases that may arise.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve landscaping goals and enhance outdoor environments.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in gardening or groundskeeping is preferred.
  • Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and plant care is essential.
  • Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
  • Good physical stamina as the role involves lifting, bending, and manual labour.
