Temporary Full-Time Gardener (Experienced or Trainee)

Location: London and surrounding areas
Contract: Fixed-term (until October 2026)

We are a small, friendly grounds maintenance company looking for a reliable gardener to join our team. This role is open to both experienced gardeners and those looking to start a career in horticulture.

Hours:
Monday to Friday, with variable start/finish times (typically 6:00am–7:00am starts and 4:00pm–5:00pm finishes). Flexibility required.

Duties include:

  • General garden and grounds maintenance
  • Safe use of tools and equipment (training provided)
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Providing a professional service to clients

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Willing to learn with a positive attitude
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
  • A good team player with strong communication skills
  • Physically fit and able to use initiative
  • Able to pass a DBS check

Desirable:

  • Grounds maintenance experience or plant knowledge
  • Horticultural training or qualifications
  • PA1 & PA6 certificates
  • Full UK driving licence

Pay:
Hourly rate depending on experience. Trainee rates are National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage.
