You’ll have the chance to influence course standards, introduce your own methods, and mentor junior staff. And with an approachable, experienced management team, your input will always be valued.

What you’ll do

Keep the course in championship condition while putting your own stamp on it. You’ll:

  • Maintain greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and rough areas to top standards
  • Operate and look after turf care machinery like mowers, aerators, and sprayers
  • Carry out fertilization, aeration, overseeding, and top-dressing programs
  • Apply pest, weed, and disease control treatments to keep turf health strong
  • Manage and maintain the irrigation system, including any repairs
  • Set up the course for tournaments and special events
  • Mentor and supervise junior greenkeepers when needed

What you’ll need

You’ll need a formal qualification in Turf Management, Horticulture, or Sports Turf Management, along with 1 + years' of experience in golf course maintenance. Knowledge of turfgrass species, agronomic practices, and pesticide application is essential.

Physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays will also be important.
