Butler Landscapes are a successful, fast-growing, multi award RHS & BALI winning landscape design and build company where we bring design-led horticultural visions, both residentially and commercially, to life and have the privilege to assist our clients by delivering a quality horticultural and construction service.
Our office is based in Market Drayton enabling us to work throughout Shropshire and surrounding counties. We design and build gardens that are uniquely tailored to each client’s specific needs, tastes, and lifestyles. We build to the highest quality and workmanship, finished to the highest standards, and provide clients many years of enjoyment. As a team, the very heart of what we do together, is to ensure that our customers receive the utmost professional service, from inquiry right through to delivery of the finished garden and beyond. Roles & Responsibilities:
· Manage and oversee key domestic landscaping projects on time and on budget
· Organise and lead a landscaping team of 2 -3 landscapers on site
· Understand design drawings and set out sites and levels
· Plan, prioritise and work to deadlines
· Ability to problem solve
· Ensure you and your team adhere to H&S guidelines and wear correct PPE
· Experience of using Plant Machinery safely
· Excellent knowledge of laying all types of paving, setts and stone
· Experience in blockwork, brickwork and retaining walls
· Excellence in constructing decking, fencing and timber structures
· Knowledge of shrub and tree planting
· Turfing and seeding
The successful candidate:
· A portfolio of work that you can share with us (Dropbox, Google drive or similar please)
· Experience of leading a team
· Ability to work independently and take ownership for delivering superb quality work every time
· Strong attention to detail
· Use initiative and think “outside of the box”
· Good time management
· Strong work ethic
· Integrity and discretion
· A desire to develop personally, whilst also supporting the development of other team members.
· Ability to work in all weather conditions
· Able to maintain a safe clean working environment.
· Ensure material waste is kept to a minimum
· Maintain in good working order all tools, vehicles, plant, equipment and machinery
Requirements for the role, but are not limited to:
· Recognised landscape skills qualification, although desirable not essential
· UK Driving licence
· ROLO, CSCS card
· Knowledge of Health and safety regulations
· Ability to focus on completing projects when challenges arise
