Full job description

We are a well-established company specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of Showhome gardens and landscapes for a number of new-build housing developers. Due to our growing client base and increased demand for our services, an opportunity has arisen to join our team, helping to ensure our landscapes are looking their best at all times.

The role offers the chance to work in a friendly team of two or three, travelling to a number of sites across each week to complete thorough landscape maintenance duties (Northants, Cambs, Leics, Beds, Herts).

As an experienced Gardener/Groundsperson, you should work effectively as part of a team, be well-presented and polite, pay particular attention to detail and always strive to deliver the highest standards of landscape presentation. Duties will include lawn care (strimming, pedestrian & ride-on mowing, edging, fertilising) and Plant/Tree/Shrub care (pruning, watering, dead-heading, feeding, weeding, treating). You will also have regular opportunities to be involved in the installation of new landscape and Show garden schemes, including planting, turfing, timber work, edging and hard paving.

Experience and qualifications essential for this role are:

  • Full knowledge of the use and care of all necessary maintenance equipment.
  • Full driving licence.

Other desirable qualification, which will attract a higher rate of pay, include:

  • Shrub/Plant knowledge
  • PA1/PA6
  • CSCS card

As a permanent, full-time member of the team, you will work a basic 42.5hr week, with a competitive rate of pay, regular additional overtime paid at excellent enhanced rates and 28 days per year holiday (plus additional 3 days for long service). Application for part-time work are also welcomed but hours would need to be full days, rather than half days etc (this may also involve long days/overtime on those working days).

All uniform and boot allowance provided. Option to join company pension scheme.
