• Are you a skilled horticulturist with a passion for creating and maintaining outstanding gardens? We are looking for an experienced Head Gardener to oversee the care, development, and management of a gardens in the beautiful city of Cambridge and surrounding villages.

About the Role

As Head Gardener, you will:

• Lead and manage a team of gardeners and volunteers, ensuring the garden is maintained to the highest standard.
• Design and implement seasonal planting schemes and creative garden layouts.
• Oversee daily horticultural tasks, including planting, pruning, weeding, and lawn care.
• Ensure the health and sustainability of plants, shrubs, and trees through expert care.
• Manage tools, equipment, and garden infrastructure to ensure they are well-maintained and fit for purpose.
• Monitor budgets, order supplies, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align garden maintenance with the overall vision.
• Mentor and train the gardening team, fostering a positive and skilled workforce.

About You

• Practical experience with a range of gardening tools and machinery.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
