Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they meet high standards of aesthetic appeal and functionality. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, applying a range of landscaping techniques and tools to create beautiful, sustainable environments. Prior experience in landscape maintenance and horticulture is highly desirable, along with a strong understanding of construction and gardening principles. The ideal applicant will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating attractive outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilising, and weed control
  • Operate mechanical equipment such as excavators, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
  • Use hand tools for planting, trimming, edging, and other gardening activities
  • Conduct routine maintenance of landscaping machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist with construction projects related to outdoor spaces, including the installation of features such as pathways or garden beds
  • Implement irrigation systems and ensure their proper functioning to maintain healthy plant life
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of work sites to promote safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping projects according to client specifications

Experience

  • Previous experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred
  • Knowledge of gardening techniques, plant care, and horticultural practices is advantageous
  • Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment is desirable
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools for gardening and landscaping tasks
