Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with experience in cultivating and maintaining outdoor spaces. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the beauty and health of various gardens and green spaces. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing planting schemes, maintaining plant health, and ensuring the overall aesthetic appeal of landscaped areas.

Responsibilities

  • Planting, pruning, and trimming shrubs, trees, flowers, and other plants to promote healthy growth and visual appeal.
  • Operating hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems efficiently and safely.
  • Maintaining lawns through mowing, edging, fertilising, and aerating as required.
  • Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks such as soil preparation, mulching, and weed control.
  • Monitoring plant health and applying appropriate horticultural treatments or remedies.
  • Ensuring all outdoor areas are kept tidy and free from debris or hazards.
  • Supporting seasonal planting activities and garden redesigns when necessary.
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times during outdoor work.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, rakes, and shovels.
  • Experience with irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate power tools safely including hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, and leaf blowers.
  • Growing experience with a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, or trees.
  • Strong knowledge of gardening principles and horticulture practices.
  • Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques to sustain healthy green spaces.
  • Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining aesthetically pleasing gardens.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This position offers an engaging environment for those passionate about gardening and landscape care. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for horticulture alongside practical skills in garden maintenance to contribute effectively to our team’s success.

We are looking for someone who can start ASAP.

Driving Licence would be a bonus.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
