Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Part Time Gardener.

This role offers flexible hours and is ideal for an individual who is passionate about gardening, horticulture and landscape maintenance. The successful candidate will contribute to creating and sustaining an attractive and healthy garden through hands-on work and expert knowledge.

Duties

  • General grounds maintenance including mowing, strimming, pruning and planting
  • Seasonal garden care and upkeep
  • Maintaining pathways, borders and green areas
  • Delivering a high standard of work with attention to detail
  • Planting, pruning and trimming shrubs, trees and flowers to promote healthy growth
  • Using hand tools such as secateurs, spades and rakes for garden maintenance
  • Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers safely and efficiently
  • Applying fertilisers, mulches, and soil amendments to optimise plant health
  • Maintaining organised storage of tools and equipment
  • Ensuring all work areas are kept tidy and free from hazards

Requirements

  • Previous experience in gardening or grounds maintenance is highly desirable
  • Reliable, hardworking and self-motivated
  • Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons
  • Takes pride in maintaining attractive, well-kept grounds
  • Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and plant care practices
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Passion for gardening with a keen interest in growing plants and maintaining outdoor environments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Physical fitness to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions
  • A valid driver’s licence is preferred but not essential
